The "e-Verify" your ITR is an online tool developed by Quicko to help taxpayers with verification of their ITR. User needs to select the Assessment Year and enter their PAN (Permanent Account Number) and the Acknowledgement Number of the ITR they want to e-Verify. For e-Verification, the taxpayer would need to enter the OTP sent to the Aadhaar registered mobile number. After e-Verifying your ITR, you would receive a communication on your registered mobile number & e-mail address. In case 30 days have passed from the date of filing the ITR, the taxpayer would need to raise a request for condonation of delay in order to e-Verify their return.

e-Verification is a secure and convenient way to verify your Income Tax Return (ITR) electronically. It is a process of validating your ITR & completing the ITR filing process.
e-Verification is the last step to complete the ITR filing process and ITR is taken up for processing only after its e-Verified. If you do not e-Verify your ITR, it is treated as invalid and it will attract all the consequences of non-filing of ITR.
The time limit for e-Verification is 30 days from the date of filing the ITR. However, when the income tax return is filed on or before 31/07/2022 a time limit of 120 days would apply.
If the ITR (Income Tax Return) is e-verified after 30 days of filing, the date of verification will be considered as the date of filing and all consequences of late ITR filing shall be applicable.
Yes, if it is not possible to electronically verify your ITR, you can send a signed copy of the ITR-V acknowledgment to CPC, Bangalore. It should be signed in blue ink. You will receive an intimation via SMS on your registered mobile number and email ID once the ITD receives your signed ITR-V form.
